Low cost connections from the UK make Sardinia a great destination for a biking short break. Not venturing too far from the port of call, the charming Catalan flavored Alghero in the north of the island, we combine fun, undulating, coastal singletracks with high plateau routes, taking plenty of time to enjoy the Mediterranean scented scenery. In just a few days, you will be able to appreciate some of Sardinia's natural wealth: expanses of vineyards and olive groves, oak wooded valleys with hidden archaeological remains, headlands dotted with Spanish watchtowers and high rugged cliffs populated with griffin vultures. Last but not least, you will sample a wide selection of traditional home-made Sardinian food, served by our hosts from the carefully selected Agriturismi farm stays.
