SCIVU BEACH

25 km west of Arbus

How to get there
It is very easy to reach the beach if you are already on a beach of the Coast; Scivu, will on the contrary appear a long way off if you want to reach it from the inland, because the road winds for kilometres. It is nevertheless worth while.

Once you leave Arbus, go on towards Fluminimaggiore; continue for 12 km and then turn right towards Scivu. Follow the signs and you will come to Scivu after about 13 km.
The beach is a few hundred metres from the parking area.

Description
One of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean sea. It is a long golden stretch of sand, surrounded by high sandstone rocks, which are covered by a very thick maquis stretching to the sea. A short reef divides the beach into two parts: the beautiful beach goes on to Bau. There are several rocks for reef lovers.

Scivu is beautiful in winter and summer and all the day round. It is fantastic at sunset: the sea, the sand and the surrounding rocks take on a red hue.
Costa Verde is one of the surfers' favourite spots: some days, especially during winter, are characterized by high and long waves, a real dream for surfers.

The Costa Verde sea is the typical sea of western Sardinia: very wild and rarely calm. You should pay attention when the sea is rough.
