POINTS OF INTEREST

  • Along the route that joins Cagliari and Nora (approx. 30 km) many people follow by foot the simulacrum of the Saint, often because of a previously made vow or promise, or simply to thank the saint.
  • The Alter nos is dressed in a frock coat and a top hat. Around his neck he wears a gold medal on a gold chain: the Toson d'oro from the order of the knights founded in the 15th century to spread Catholicism.
  • The little statue of the Saint (from the17th century) shows Efisio dressed as a Roman soldier but with a moustache and a pointed beard in the Spanish style of the period.
