the Tuviois area | towards Burcei | who to contact | how to get to Burcei
The road which leads from Burcei to the entrance of Tuviois is a cyclists dream.: The road is slightly downhill for the first 3 km. At the end of the road the area of Tuviois starts. Cycle for few hundreds of meters and then carry your bicycle. The path changes continuously: at the end it almost seems to disappear. However if you are careful you will not get lost.
First of all do not stray too far from the pebbly shore of the Tuviois rivulet. If you follow the rivulet you can not go wrong.
While you are ascending keep to the right as far as the entrances to the old silver mines. The ruins of the miners houses are clearly visible and the path which is well marked can be cycled in part.
At a short distance there is a beautiful valley with hundreds of majestic trees whose shapes sometimes astonish you. Be careful: you may be approached by wild pigs. It is better not to leave anything around because they are curios and hungry. They will eat anything, edible or inedible, and they can be dangerous. They actually managed to bite off, in only one go, the titanium saddle of a cyclest. For this reason if you would like to stop to enjoy the view of the valley, don't forget to hang your bike from a tree. Before continuing fill your water containers because further on it is difficult to find water.
