the Tuviois area | let's start | who to contact | how to get to Burcei
At this point you have to ascend 4 km on foot inside the forest. Carry the bike on your shoulder. When you reach the point between the two valleys which face the main glade, take the valley on your right. The path is now and then quite steep and suddenly it seems to disappear. If you keep to the bottom of the gorge as you ascend there is no risk of getting lost. Follow the path which is used mostly by animals as very few people ever pass here. If you walk at a quick pace it will take you exactly 1 hour to reach the end of the path. The last part is particularly steep but you will soon reach the top of the mountain.
While ascending, the pink rocky massif of Monte Genis is on your right. Descending in that direction for about 2 km you reach a good dirt road at S'Isca de S'Arena where there is a sheepfold of the same name. Continue on this road keeping to the left for about 5 km. The slope is very easy and the surface is in good condition. In a short time you will reach the junction for Genn'e Funatana-Monte Serpeddì.
We must advise you that, in this area, fog may be a problem. For this reason do not forget a compass, an I.G.M. map and a mobile phone which will ensure your safety. Mobile phone reception is not very good in the Tuviois valley but reception is good along the second part of this route.
Continuing our journey: continue in the direction of Serpeddì. After 3 km there is a quick 8 km long descent which leads you quickly to Burcei.
