May be in ancient times s'urtzu was not the beast which had to be subdued and sacrificed. He was a strong and fearful pagan God. For this reason children used to run after him shouting: "S'Ocru mannu piludu/non timet a nissunu,/solo su Deus Mannu, S'ocru Mannu currudu".
