TIMI AMA BEACH

Position
Between the beach of Simius and the Port of Giunco-Notteri one.

How to get there
Take the SP 17 and follow the road sign for Villasimius.
There are two ways to reach the Timi Ama beach:

  • Enter the town, going along the main road until the end of the houses; then turn right, following the road signs for the Port of Giunco-Notteri;
    The beach of Timi Ama is set between the broader beach of Simius and that of Porto Giunco-Notteri.
  • After Campus, turn right, before reaching the small town; then immediately turn left towards the town. The beach is on your right.

Description
The beach is on the left of the pool of Notteri. This part of the coastline offers a wonderful sight, if you observe it from Porto Giunco: the mountains behind you, the thick Mediterranean plants, the flat and wide pool, the dunes of white sand, which are enlightened by green and golden tufts of grass; the pine forest behind you.
Unfortunately that majestic landscape harmony has been interrupted by the building of an apartment house few years ago.
The sand is thin and white and the water is shallow and transparent: these are the characteristics of a still natural beach.

Facilities
Refreshment stalls. Beach umbrellas, chaise-longs and boats for rent. You can water-ski and dive.
