PORTO PIRASTU BEACH

How to get there
Leaving Costa Rei, go beyond the town, following the signs for Capo Ferrato. You reach the SP 97, turn on the right towards "Capo Ferrato" and, beyond the Camping Porto Pirastu and the Bar Pizzeria Capo Ferrato, you will find an unpaved road. You can park there and after few metres on foot, you will come to Porto Pirastu headland. Wonderful sight!

Description
A rocky coast interrupted by small bays and overlooked by the homonymous headland. The wide pine forest and the richness of the Mediterranean plants are a natural frame surrounding the granite cliffs, which are sometimes smooth and polished by the sea, sometimes burnished and steep. These chromatic contrasts make the environment even wilder. Every now and then groups of Posidonia are carried to the shore in the sandy central part by stormy seas. The depth is low and rocky and the water has changing colour gradation and transparencies.

Facilities
The better equipped site on the beach is in front of the Camping Porto Pirastu: you can hire beach umbrellas and deck-chairs. There is also a kiosk selling drinks and sandwiches.
